Danish Anwar

Award-winning comedian Danish Anwar is probably the only Russian-born Indo-Bengali-Canadian standup comic you’ll see this year. His clever blend of politics & nerd culture landed him multiple appearances on national TV & radio, such as CBC comedy specials “Fish Out Of Water” and “Truth Bomb” , The Debaters on CBC Radio, plus comedy festivals such as Just For Laughs, JFL42 and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. He had a feature role in the acclaimed TVO documentary “Stand Up Toronto”, and has opened for renowned comedians like Gina Yashere, Aparna Nancherla & DeAnne Smith. He’s also the creator of the smash hit territorial roast battle show Your Hood’s A Joke.

Dave Burke

Dave is a stand-up comedian from Halifax, Nova Scotia. He moved to Toronto in 2013, and since then he’s performed at some of the city’s finest venues (and some of its leakiest basements).

Dave has appeared at Just for Laughs, Yuk Yuk’s, the National Arts Center, CAA Theatre and SiriusXM Radio. He’s performed warm-up for TV and theatre, and performs stand-up for corporate events around Canada

Carol Zoccoli
